I had the opportunity to attend the August expedition to Zanskar Valley with Ashish! I have absolutely no words to express how amazing the whole experience has been, so here are 10 awesome things you should look forward to!
- Meet a group of amazing photography enthusiasts and learning from everyone.
- Learning the tricks and amazing lessons from Ashish, I’m sure you’re gonna get amazing amazing milky way shots.
- Food and stay were absolutely top-notch, you’re gonna miss it when you come back to your place.
- Chasing rare animals with your camera, while everyone is busy taking awesome landscape shots.
- Setting up your camera equipments at night, and literally seeing the milky way from naked eyes.
- Story time with the group, just exceptional. Trust me, you are making lifelong friends.
- Finding 1000-2000 sheeps en-route, and even exploring high passes and lakes
- Trekking to nearby hills in the evening if you are feeling adventurous, tiring but worth it!
- Going to the most remote and unexplored places throughout the Zanskar Valley.
- I need to repeat this, Ashish is the BEST host and friend, you can’t have a better experience than this!

Had a wonderful trip with Ashish to Zanskar in August 2023. Ashish is a great mentor and has a lot of patience even with a novice photographer like me. He has years of experience in Milky Way photography and has curated these locations/sites after lot of research and effort. If you’re looking for an out-of-this-world experience, look no further than Ashish Kamble’s Milky Way tour. I recently had the pleasure of joining Ashish on one of his photography tours, and I can confidently say that it was one of the most awe-inspiring experiences of my life.
From the moment we arrived at the designated location, Ashish’s passion for photography and the night sky was palpable. He took the time to explain the technical aspects of capturing the Milky Way, as well as the cultural significance of the stars in different parts of the world.
As we set up our cameras and waited for the stars to come out, Ashish regaled us with stories of his previous photography expeditions and shared tips and tricks for getting the perfect shot. When the Milky Way finally appeared in all its glory, Ashish’s excitement was infectious, and we all scrambled to capture the moment.
Throughout the tour, Ashish was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing his love of photography and the night sky with us. He went above and beyond to ensure that everyone had a memorable experience, and I left the tour feeling inspired and grateful for the opportunity to witness the beauty of the Milky Way.
